Frédérik’s first sturgeon

Posted by: fmeehan   in Fishing, Photography

Did a little visit to the dock of place Datura, Ile-Perrot, yesterday, to admire another beautiful sunset and chat with the people there.

On spot, a few fishermen and among them, Frédérick Baker, who caught his first lake sturgeon.

Don’t forget to click on the pictures to see them bigger.

Can’t say this is a beautiful fish, mother nature didn’t really cooperate on that one.

After the pictures were taken, Frédérik released his sturgeon, it quickly went back to the depth of Lake St-Louis.

A fact remain, this is a very interesting fish, “left over” of a prehistoric era.

According to the experts on site, the beast was weighing 8 pounds, age between 10 and 15.

Quote from his friends, Frédérik is no longer a “Sturgeon virgin”.
