My friends the killdeers…

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Birds, Photography

The vacations are soooooo nice.

Today a little bit of rain, good, I can take some time to write this post.

In addition to cycling, we are taking a lot of walks along the sea shore. It is full of life.

Here is a juvenile Killdeer, then again I may be wrong… I am not an expert…

Kiffa is my neighbour kitty. She loves to spend long hours in the front window.

Yesterday she showed me her tonsils…

The bird on the horizon…

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Birds, Photography, dog

There is a bird of prey on the Horizon that caught the eye of Rubis.

Easier to see if you enlarge the image by clicking on it.

Picture taken during a pleasant evening walk, fields of Notre-Dame-de-l’Ile-Perrot.

Did I ever tell you how much I love the 50mm lens? I know, I know, I repeat myself. Seriously what a lens.

My dog comes from Mars!

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Humour, Photography, dog, familly & Friends

Ok, here is the truth, my dog comes from Mars.

This image will bring memories for the folks of my generation. I had the old TV series “My favorite Martian” on my mind when I composed this shot. A TV show that I religiously watched when I was a kid.

Promenade

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Photography, Self, dog, people

I really enjoy those walks with Rubis, there are always excellent photo opportunities.

It is also a great occasion to use the iPhone photo capabilities. For this shot, I used “Camera Genius” for a 3 seconds timer.

I shoot while walking, varying the speed of my footsteps to play with the shadows.

On board the iPhone, I have an application, Drop Box that allows me to easily share that image with my MacBook pro.

From there, I complete the job with Aperture.

Monsieur Mimi (pic)

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Photography, cat

Monsieur Mimi is a compagnon of Zoro et “ptit” Bob . The light was just “irresistible”.

Weird but, since I had my incident with the D90, I do more and more images with the iPhone or others old cameras. I really like the challenge they bring.

Zoro and et “ptit” bob

2 shot taken with the iPhone, 2 nice cats from Ile-Perrot (west of Montreal).

“The one is Zoro and the second one is “ptit” Bob.” Says a good friend of mine.
