Just found this new technique, (well, at least new to me) call NIR, for the creation of “pseudo” infrared images. A pretty cool process.

I love the touch of “unrealism” this brings.

I love posing my cat. I do a lot of photos of Youri each week, constantly trying to bring originality, to find more “angles” to animal portraits.

For this one, I was thinking of those old “autographed” portraits of movies stars.

Alien family photo

Posted by: fmeehan   in Humour, Ile-perrot, Photography, familly & Friends, people

I am getting to know my Aliens better and we sort of became friends after a while.

At one point, one of them showed a family photo taken on their planet.

I liked it so much that I exchanged it for a bottle of maple syrup.

They are great guys you know…

Alien Teleportation

Posted by: fmeehan   in Humour, Ile-perrot, familly & Friends, people, photostudio

I knew there were something special about the location of my last image.

So instead of shooting birds, today I went and hide myself in a bush with a long lens.

I heard a “swooosh” on my right, turned and say these creatures appearing from nowhere!

Then I duck on the ground, Man I got scared!

Incredible!

Yesterday as I was shooting for birds with my camera, in the municipality of Notre-Dame-de-l’Ile-Perrot, west of Montreal, I witnessed the abduction of 2 girls by alien beings.

I heard a strange noise and my dog in total fear ran away in the woods. I turned, looking for the source of the noise, when I was struck by a purple beam of ray, I felt cold and that left me paralyzed from waist to toes. Still, I was able to take images of the frightening scene.

Tree bizarre faceless aliens were running in the field carrying 2 young girls. What seemed to be a disk shape vessel appeared suddenly in the sky in landed a few yards away.

A kind of door opened in the side of the disk, the humanoids creatures and their victims embarked the strange ship which took off shortly after.

The whole scene only took a few seconds. After a while, shaken, I regained the use of my legs.

My dog is still in the woods.

And suddenly I felt the need for a good glass of bourbon…

A tornado named Youri

Posted by: fmeehan   in Animals, Ile-perrot, Photography, cat, familly & Friends

My cat has grown a lot lately, he is not the “cute little kitten” anymore, rather a turbulent teenager.

He must have some tricks under his sleeves, whatever he breaks, steal or hide, somehow, he is always forgiven.

I have noticed that post for a while, it is situated right in front of my favourite “Dépanneur”.

Since I had my Nikon with me and the sky was filled with nice clouds, I decided that today was the day.

When you are shooting and you want to get the max from a session, you completely forget about the surroundings. In search of the best composition, I stuck myself against the post, then got on my knees, move back, well you see what I mean, it last a good 5 minutes.

When I finished shooting, I heard someone laughing in my back. Another client from the store just finish his cigarette and seemed to have enjoy the show :-) He told me: “Wow, you really take it seriously”, all I could reply was “Yes and it didn’t cost me much”, I took off, hearing the guy laughing still.

Moment embarrassant
