Chateauguay river, Q.C.

I used an old camera, it’s too easy to fall in the water, when walking in the current.

Valou is on the offensive!

Posted by: fmeehan   in Photography, Sport, familly & Friends, people

Sunday last, Valérie was invited to play with the Vaudreuil senior woman team. Valérie is 18 and the “senior” ladies aged from 19 and up.

Really nifty caliber, girls showing extremely strong technical skills. Vaudreuil won the game 4 – 1, it was a great game.

Valou played beautifully…

Photo side, it is not that I have become lazy in changing my lens on the D90, I am seriously in love with the 50mm 1.8. Can’t get it off.

Stop Mademoiselle!

Posted by: fmeehan   in Photography, familly & Friends, people, reflection

Red light!

I had a little mishaps Sunday last, thought I was immune to flats on my cycle, so I never bought a repair kit, then reality settled in. As my friend Pierre told me, I had to call the “family towing”. My beautiful daughter came to pick me up on the side of the road.

On the way back home, I was having my iPhone in my hand…

Fun with the iPhone

Posted by: fmeehan   in Photography, familly & Friends, people, portrait

With this week’s heat wave, I take it more relax.

Nevertheless, I have made two nice discoveries, two very interesting photo apps on the iPhone

First of all, I have made some triptychs with the application called: Diptic.

Here is an example:

Then a really “cool” app, Swankolab by the makers of Hipstamatic. In addition to its unique interface, it allows you to create recipes with your treatment, so you can re-apply it to a future image.

Here is an example, featuring “la belle Lise” :

Phone photography has never been that much fun!

Tante Florence

Posted by: fmeehan   in Photography, familly & Friends, people, portrait

A wonderful reunion yesterday, thanks to Facebook and the curiosity of Mario, Lise cousin’s.

We took off for Mario headquarters at Saint-Paul-de-l’Île-aux-Noix. His home sitting by a Marina, the place is superb, the light is splendid.

Mario had a surprise for Lise. He invited his mother (aunt Florence), cousin Michou and her husband Gaston. Very interesting people.

Under the shadows of the trees, lively discussions are going on; 20 years to cover.

We went for a boat ride on the Richelieu river on Mario’s boat.

Florence was not to keen at the idea, Mario knows how to be convincing.

I had in mind to do Florence’s portrait as a quick snapshot, I think she never noticed the shot. I wanted a “true” expression.

Quelle belle Dame!
