During last week-end party, we witnessed a beautiful and a “little unusual” version of “be my, be my baby” :-)

Tania, you are unique!

A nice surprise!

Saturday last, my friend Tania invited us for her annual summer party. What a nice crowd, I was really please to see beautiful Tania. A surprise was awaiting us.

It began when Bobby, Tania’s Boyfriend, asked me if I brought my camera, it was in the car, so he suggested me to go grab it, that Tania would like to see it. I didn’t suspect anything.

And then suddenly, we are told to get ready for a surprise show and here we are, Christine started a nice demonstration of baladi dance. I must be careful in what I am writing, Lise is looking behind my shoulder. Let’s just say, while I was taking photos, I had to remove my glasses, too much fog got accumulated in them.

Many thanks to Tania and Bobby for a really nice party and to Christine for such a nice display of her skills.

La belle surprise!

William

Posted by: fmeehan   in Kids, Photography, familly & Friends, iPhone, people, portrait

What a day yesterday was. We went through a series of emotions.

From a visit to the cemetery in the morning, to a reunion with a pretty old friend.

I didn’t thought I would do a lot of pictures, the occasions kept coming on.

I will have some nice pic to show this week, starting with William, son of our nephew Maxim.

Big day today, our son now “belongs” to the Canadian Forces.

This morning we had an information session about the life in the army. Then we witness the ceremony where the new recruits sworn in for the Forces.

After completing his basic training (which will begin in 2 weeks), Cédric will join the Navy as a “Naval communicator”.

It was nice to see these people, ready to do the sacrifices to take control of their destiny.

We are so proud of Cédric, it was a lot of emotions for us, above all, we are so proud of him!

“You the Man” Ced!

The end of a fencing session

I took this image a long time ago, in Valleyfield, fencing qualifications for the Quebec winter games of 2011.

As many other images in my reserve, it was sleeping there until today, it clicked, I finally got the processing figured out in my head.

In addition to manipulate the washing line, being on the phone solving important problems, there was another batch of dirty laundry in the machine, spaghetti sauce simmering and an apple cake in the oven…

For the curious: Yes, these are my boxers

For the crooked mind: They are size “small”

Here is a second version of Jessica’s portrait session.

More sober, more classical than the first one…

His passion for fishing is incredible.

So, he is well prepared for the toxicity of the Saint-Lawrence waters.

And he does not eat his catches, which are glowing in the dark.

Playing with my shadows has always been a source of fun, at very low costs :-)

I am still hooked on the iPhone app Snapseed. Can’t get my hands off it.
