I was told by a good friend of mine, that showing photos was one thing.
Taking the time to explain some process behind the creation, is really appreciated by the ones who needs more technical information.
So, here we are, I produced a short video to show some basic enhancements I did to produce the photo below.
This is the first time I do something of that nature, like photography, my aim is only to get better with time.
And this is the final image:

It has been a while since I wanted to put theses pictures on this site. the “Vitrines” of the D’Aoust G & Cie store are in a class by themselves.

For these shots, I once again used the HDR technique, this allowed me have more lattitude in playing with the reflections on the glass.
No need for tripod, the Nikkor 50 mm. 1.8 with the D90 is a super combo.

These pictures were taken last Sunday, on Lake St-Louis, south of Ile-Perrot island.
Lots of gusty winds, the water is high and cold.

Perfect combination.
Good occasion to test 2 products from Topaz Laboratories, Denoise and Adjust.

I used my 105 mm macro lens at F36, 800 iso and 1/30 of a sec for shutter speed, to create motion blur.

Visit to the optometrist this morning, just a routine check-up.
At one point, he informs me that he want to take picture of the insides of my eyes.
Picture? Love that, can I have a copy?
He press a button on the PC attached to the instrument, ask for my email address et voilà! 30 seconds after they are on my BlackBerry.

Wow, what a nice eye I have…
